Welcome Table, January 26, 2015
We will host our first meal of 2015 on Monday, January 26, 2015.
The menu for that day is meatloaf, green peas, potatoes, salad, bread, dessert, and beverages.
Eighteen (18) meatloaves are needed. We ask that the meatloaves be cooked prior to bringing them to the parish house. If you can donate a meatloaf, please bring it to church by Sunday, January 25, and leave it in the refrigerator in the kitchen at the parish house. Identify the meatloaf with the name of the preparer and the date prepared.
The other item needed for the meal is nine (9) cans of #10 green peas. The green peas can be left in the kitchen of the parish house. Please identify the can with the name of the giver.
2 lbs. ground beef
1 package onion soup mix
½ cup tomato sauce
¾ cup bread crumbs or crushed crackers
Combine all ingredients. Place meatloaf in loaf pan. Cook at 350 degrees for one hour or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees.
Allow meatloaf to cool. Remove from pan and put into a zip lock freezer bag or wrap in tin foil. Freeze (if made ahead of time). Bring to church by Sunday, January 25, and leave it in the refrigerator at the parish house. Identify the meatloaf with the name of the preparer and the date prepared. If you make a meatloaf before the week for Welcome Table and want to bring it to the parish house, please put it in the freezer in the kitchen.
It would be helpful to know, prior to January 25, it you will donate a meatloaf or a #10 can of green peas. Please let Allison Ross or Linda Bailey know you will make these donations.
Help is always needed the day we serve as host at Welcome Table. If you will be able to be there to help that Monday and serve in one or more ways, please contact Allison Ross (828-202-6722 or email@example.com) or Linda Bailey (828-245-7456 or firstname.lastname@example.org).

Stephen Ministry at St. Francis
Our plans to begin Stephen Ministry at St. Francis have begun and several of our members are discerning their call to this specialized pastoral ministry. We’ll be accepting applications until February 1, and hope to begin training by the first week of March. You can help, even if you are not called to be a Stephen Minister, by praying daily for this ministry, for those who will be part of it, and for the lives that will be changed because of it. If you were unable to attend the meeting and would like to know more about Stephen Ministry, please contact Judi Gustafson (828-395-1825) or Mother Chris (828-287-3888 x2).
