Hanging of the Greens
Please join us after the 10:30 a.m. service today, as we transform the church for our celebration of Christ’s birth. There will be soup in the Parish House for those who stay and help.
Coming and Going on Sunday Mornings
Despite our best intentions, sometimes things happen on Sunday mornings that prevent us from arriving at church on time, or that require us to excuse ourselves after we’ve already been seated. To cause as little disruption as possible to those who are listening and worshiping, please remember this rule of thumb: the best times to come and go are during hymns, between lessons, after the sermon, or any time people are standing. If someone is speaking when you arrive, take a seat in the back of the church, then move once they are finished. The same rule applies if you must leave during the service. Thanks in advance for your help!
Coming to the Parish House on Weekdays
Quite a few folks in our church have keys to the Parish House and sometimes come in through the kitchen or brown double doors. For security reasons, we ask that you use the office door when the Day School is in session (normally 9:00 to 1:00, Monday through Friday). Also, because our Rector and Parish Administrator are often in the building alone, please let them know when you are here. Many thanks!
Welcome Table, December 29, 2014
We will be hosting Welcome Table on Monday, December 29. The menu is beef rigatoni, salad, bread, dessert, and beverages.
Mark Demas, Mark Demas Enterprises, is donating the dessert for this month. Other help needed for the meal is serving in some way on the day of the meal. If you can help on the day of the meal, please contact Allison Ross (email@example.com or 828-202-6722) or Linda Bailey (firstname.lastname@example.org or 828-245-7456).
As the year draws to a close, please remember to bring your 2014 pledges up to date. If you wish to have these appear on your 2014 giving statement, please place them in the alms basin on December 28th or deliver them to the church office no later than 10:00 am on Monday, December 29th.
